I was last there day-fishing on June 26th. We had 18 boats fishing out tournament. It took 14.76 to win, and took 11.91 to get a check (3rd place). We had the big fish with a 4.8 pound Small Mouth. All our fish came on texas rigged worms (some on finesse, some on big worms).

I didn't get any information from anyone else, but we had been fishing deep main-lake points at the mouth of cuts and small creeks. We were fishing 10-20 ft. but had to have 30+ feet of water within a cast. This pattern fell through for us on the tournament and we ended up catching our fish mostly by fishing our favorite spots.

The evening bite may be completely different.

Thanks. That is a nice smallie, Good weight for the tourney. Heard the smallies were getting bigger there. Glad to hear that. Just going down to fun fish and, truthfully I would like to tangle with a musky, as I have never caught one. Thanks.

Most of your big bags at night have been coming off deep brushpiles....or like clint said you can go point hopping and catch some fish....as far as tangling with a musky its pretty easy....tie on your favorite spinnerbait or crankbait, don't use a steel leader, and go fish anywhere in the lake.....theyre sure to eat it up

Maybe you should start a musky guide service on GRL! When are we going to go musky fishing?

I could make a killin....just tell people to bring their favorite bait and they'll get to feel a muskie for just a second....bout the only time i muskie fish is during the winter when theres nothin better to do...minus the cold weather im ready for some FNF action

I dont know about that dont use a steel leader and throw a spinner bait, those smaller back teeth will go through mono like a hot knfe through butter. I'd rater use the steel and not get a hit, than have a good fish die because both jaws are tangled with hooks, but thats just my opiinion, there are good single strand monel leaders that are thin and wont effect bait action.I have caught several musky fishing for other fish, and they didn't bite off, but I have also had strikes and brought in just my line.

I was just making a joke....saying that if you're throwing your favorite bass lure and not using a leader it's easy to get a musky to bite....wasn't being serious...So how was the bite saturday night?.....I heard it took 21lbs to win a tourny fri night and 20lbs for second
