As if the oil spill wasn't enough...

Now BP is linked to some kind of shady deal involving the release of the last Lockerbie bomber to Libya in exchange for an oil deal? If that comes to be true, good lord. I don't care how many commercials you air with soft Leave it to Beaver music and people talking in Southern voices about how they are from the Gulf Coast and they're here to "Make it Right"...no amount of spin could turn the tide on negotiating a deal for oil rights in exchange for the release of a terrorist that killed hundreds of people.

    WHAT THE EFF?

Excuse me while I go take a car key, open the fuel door on the 3 Fords that I own, and quickly scratch out the label that says "Ford proudly recommends BP Gasoline"...NO THANKS.

OMG......I've been running Sams Club stuff. So I guess that's why my van doesn't:
    a. Leak oil.
    b. Blow up.
    c. Burn up.
    d. Send me false signals thru the warning lights telling me the engine is okay when its leaking oil, overheating, or about to blow up.
    e. Kill fish when it gets close to water

Let's hope it's not true, but I certainly wouldn't be shocked by it. Companies that large with that much revunue get into way to many bad things. Big Money the root of all evil.

Saw a few things on this. Does not look good. If true, time for BP to go bye-bye.

When President Bush addressed Congress for the first time after 9/11, Tony Blair was in the house, and President Bush said something close to, "America has no greater ally than Great Britain." I agreed with him then. Now, I'm not so sure.

(CNN) -- A top Libyan oil official on Friday denied allegations of an agreement to free the Lockerbie bomber in exchange for bolstered BP commercial interests in the country.
Britain and Libya had sparred over whether Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi should be included in a prisoner transfer agreement the two nations were negotiating. Under the agreement, Libyan prisoners in Britain would be transferred to Libya to serve out their sentences.
British officials and BP said the oil company's interests -- mainly, seeking a huge deal to drill for oil in Libya -- were a consideration in those talks.
In the end, al Megrahi was included in the transfer agreement, but he was never transferred to a Libyan jail. Instead, he was freed on what officials in Scotland said were humanitarian grounds separate from the agreement.
Days after Britain and Libya concluded the transfer agreement last year, Libya and BP signed a deal that the company called the biggest financial commitment for exploration that an international energy company had ever made to Libya.
