short night on stoner

Went to Frymans about 6 fished for a short time before getting ran off by the storms. Temps were mid 80's and there were signs of duck weed up in Stoner, some areas were heavy with it. One place on the main creek had a little weed where there is little wind current (just past the first bend) the color over all was great but the bite was non existent.

I been wanting to hit Frymans again. I would have thought the bite was on with this heat and the duckweed.

I would have like to have stayed till dark, but black cloud coming at you at a pretty good clip will make change your mind quick.
Creek is rolling good now probably wont be too much weed left after this it's a little over 16' now.

It seems like there hasn't been near as much weed this year as in the past. Fished up Strodes on Monday afternoon, caught a few keeper-sized on shaky heads and trickworms. Water had an off color to it then. Some other guys I talked to were catching fish on white spinnerbaits, they said Stoner was blocked past the fork.
