Monroe was tough last weekend...at least for us. It seemed to me that it was feast or famine....if you found one there were others with it....or you just didn't find em....which we didn't!!!! Any clues to how guys caught them in the BFL???

The guy that won posted how he caught them on the BBC site. He stated he went with a different approach and fished really shallow where most others were fishing in deep water. All his fish came in 2 to 5 FOW using shallow cranks and worms. He used the same tactics the week before and came in
3rd in the IBF.

i fished the kid and co on aug. 7........caught one fish by the dam....weighed about 2 pounds 10 ounces......caught it in the morning on a buzz

We tried that same approach and just caught a few shorts....right place, wrong time I guess

I fished the BFL couple weeks ago there. I had 1 fish that weighed 3#2 oz. Partner had one that weighed 3.8. I missed that fished and he threw in and caught it. I should of had a good limit(of course). Just couldn't get them in the boat. I was catching them around the docks flipping plastics

Had a small club tourny and got second with 14lbs All came from main lake and RIGHT on the bank It was a night tourny. Caught several shorts and had a keeper spot. he looked like a football.
