First off great boat! I have wanted a flats boat for years so I can take it down to FL and fish the Indian River and such again.
Do the carp go after the baits pretty good?

Yeah - I'd be interested in knowing how well the carp take the flies.
I've seen at least 2 fishing shows with people fishing for them with fly rods, but I've still been skeptical. One of them was In-Fisherman, though.
I know of a place or two that have a lot of carp and think it would be fun to get into sight fishing for them with a fly rod.
Here's a short article from In-Fisherman, but it's not about fly fishing:

I know a fella that use to fish for the Carp every year with a fly rod. At certain times of the year he could wear Carp out on that fly rod, this was at Guist Creek. When you have a Cicada year it's off the chart, Carp gourge themselves on Cicada's.
Carp take flies just as well as anything else and are called "freshwater bonefish" because of their strong runs and many people consider them the strongest fighting freshwater fish.
Thanks! Appreciate the compliment! I really like the boat! From what I've observed so far is they act similar to a Redfish. That one tracked the fly for about 5 feet before he sucked it up. I had a few that would follow the fly and then turn off of it and some that just ignored it all together! I also spooked a bunch.....I'm also learning I need more casting practice!!
He ate a Olive Wooly Bugger. He was tailing, stiring up mud and I pulled the fly right in front of him...... he turned and started following it. Pretty awesome!

That article is pretty much dead on. Not sure if it was my setup being in a boat vs. wading. I wade Trammel Creek for Trout and those Carp seem to spook easier, but I'm sure it's my wading..... These fish didn't seem as spooky till I either hit them on the head with the fly or line them or just made a big mistake with the trolling motor (like hitting bottom or a tree stump). I was casting within a few feet and could pickup and cast again without spooking a lot of them.
