I live in Lexington and am wanting to go catfishing one night with a couple of friends. We are thinking about going to Taylorville Lake. Problem is we will be fishing off the bank. Anyone know of some decent spots to set up for the night? Wasnt really wanting to hang at the main ramp or campgrounds. Otherwise anyone know of a spot in or around Lexington to get into some cats?? Thanks for any help

I would fish from the rip-rap at the dam. I think you will have a chance for a bigger cats there.
There are a few good spots under the Goodnight bridge along the river. Be aware that camping is prohibited along the shoreline, but overnight fishing is just fine. So... don't pitch a tent for your trip and give KFW an excuse to write you a big fat ticket, they like to split hairs down there.I live in Lexington and am wanting to go catfishing one night with a couple of friends.
