I have on good sources that a major health insurance provider in this area has already started scaling back in the Health Insurance business. Making no new investments in coverage, no new rate negotiations with hospitals and provider networks in regards to competitive moves, and backing out of deals with some of their larger insureds because...in their words..."We're not making enough money on your company anymore and it's going to get worse."
They are turning their primary focus for growth to secondary insurance plans, like vision, dental, life, disability, etc...and leaving primary health care plans on the back burner.
I agree - The gubment needs to get the hell out of the way.
