    Green River Crappie

Getting ready to take a weekend trip to Green on 9/29/10. Has the Crappie bite picked up any since the cooler weather has moved in? Hoping that 2 more weeks will help. Thanks

    Unhappy Re: Green River Crappie

I think it's interesting that on a discussion board, someone doesn't want to share such basic info. No one is asking for exact locations, only if fish are biting - but I guess if others want to know they have to drive down or hope someone else is more willing to share info!!!!

    Re: Green River Crappie

nothing secret about Green crappie. we have been and still are getting 30 to 60 keepers a day for the last month. fishing the flat on the left about 2 or 3 miles down the lake from Holmes Bend. some have been caught around Fishers Bend also. just slow trolling minnows at 15-18 feet deep. if anyone can't catch crappie on Green then they just need to sell their boat and take up dominos. i would think that with the cold front coming they will probably move to 12-15 feet next week, good luck!

    Re: Green River Crappie

Ive noticed on several muskie fishing trips lately that after dark out from the Marina theres always a couple of boats set up with lights fishing in the middle of the lake. Would anyone know if maybe they are walleye fishing or crappie fishing? I can't imagine that seeing them in the same spots in the open lake is a coincidence.
