Hey I think you tapped into mind reading pal, I was wondering about that when driving last night/ this morning. I'm going to call the guy who made my backbrace when I had surgury and run some of this past him and see if he comes up with some more idea's. with a rail I can have it done where the rails can be removed and might cound een have one put on my rodlocker to help getting in from the ladder/ stepstool I'm getting for him. i know Woody has been through the ringer once twice and ten times and stil cant wait to fish for those brown silver carp when you have to have a Russian icebreaker in front of him, and the old man seems to be getting that way. They are going to try to put the hip back in sometime in the next 2-3 weeks no guarantee the infection wont come back. BTW, the Doc at the infectous disease place where he got his IV's told us something real scary that Woody you probably already know... this MRSA/ Staph is everywhere... no hospital is immune right now. I asked him how this was possible... medicaid cuts lead to staff cuts andthe janitors were ususally the first to go which I dont know if its true or not but any of you having a hospital visit not even being cut on be careful, the doc said a girl wearing flip flops at a hospital in Louisville ( he mentioned the name I will not) got MRSA just walking around so be vigilant in these places. Anyone else that has seen handicap rails in a boat give a yell and let us know how they work. In case I forgot to mention, everyone on here I have talked with is just class people sharing tips, fishing idea's things like that and I wanted to let you all know Im proud to be associated with this board.
I agree with you, there's lots and lots of good sharing on this board, anything from tips on horse racing, politics, religeon all the way to how to make good biscuits and gravey!
At any rate....the rails I saw looked dead up like the handicap rails you might see in a handicap restroom or shower unit, etc...looked to me like you could set the rails in place as you needed them. All you'd have to do is sit the old man up there and he'd probably get along just fine.
