Report from Cumberland

Well we fished the south central tourny out of Conley Bottom Sunday and fishing has seem to have picked up. The bigger fish are staying up longer to feed during the days. They haven't moves into the creeks yet, I think the water is still to hot for that at 67 deg. 14 won it and 13 was second. There were several bags around 10lbs all of which had atleast 1 keeper smallmouth around 4lbs. My partner and myself had almost 8lbs with four fish made up of a mixed bag of all 3 flavors. I bet we caught 25 fish yesteday several just short of being a keeper. It was a good day on the lake but very frustrating catching fish an inch to short to put into the livewell. I think if the weather stays steady give it 2 weeks and you will be able to catch them all day long and I mean 20 plus inch smallies and some big fat 3 lb Kys.

what did you catch them on, if you dont mind to share?

I caught all my fish on a jig. I tried a spinnerbait but only caught little ones.

Fished upper end Saturday & caught a few Spots & a couple Largemouth. 1 on spinnerbait & the rest on jigs.
