Barren Report?

Hittin up Barren tomorrow. I have seen the tourney results from USA Bassin Sunday and they had a lot of 5 fish bags. It sounds like everyone else is havin good luck there too. Does anyone know what kind of pattern these fish are on? I have been waitin all fall for a bizzbait bite, and nothing yet. I know when they draw the lake this hard it positions fish on the downstream side of main lake and secondary points, and sometimes it makes em suspend just off the points, so i may try jerk baits. Its gonna be super sunny, so you would think they would be tight to cover so maybe a spinner bait in deeper vertical timber? The water has to have warmed a little in the last few days of nice weather and a front comin through the next day, i hope the fish are active.

Ill let you guys know if i have any luck. Gonna put in at Beaver Creek and start shallow, then try creek banks, then points... i really have no game plan since the fish havent acted normal all fall...

Good luck Walkeraviator! That's the one (main) lake I haven't fished in KY yet. I've heard a lot about it and drive by it on my way to Guntersville, but haven't fished it yet. Let us know how you do and if you ever need a buddy to go with you, let me know as I would love to visit that area.

Couldn't buy a buzzbait bite last weekend at Barren. We caught ours on shad pattern cranks on secondary points. Our bite shut down around 10am but it was fast and furious in the morning so get there before sun up.
