    Tyme's sauger report from McAlpine

Nothing to report. Sorry, we didn't catch anything. The bait shop was closed so Knute didn't get any minnows. We tried 5" white curly tailed grubs on 1/4 oz to 3/8 oz lead head jigs. Zippo, nada, zilch.

We were in the duck pond first, tried the deep holes off the Clarksville ramp, and in front of the bearclaws with equal non-success.

However, I did save a life today. I think Knute was getting ready to kill his wife if he didn't get out of the house for a few hours.

Surface water temp was 52° Lower water level 18.2' Upper release 37' lower release 4' . That was too much release from the upper for us to try across from the museum.

We did scare a big head carp out of the water while we were putting around the duck pond!!

No stories to relate about boat or motor malfunctions. All was good in that department.
