    otter pit

    fished friday after work(2-18) it was great to get out in the warm sunshine. caught 7 bass all on jerk baits biggest was about 2 1/2. went sat caught 3, but all was good fish, i caught one that was 19 inches and a buddy caught one over 3 lbs. sunday one fish, went to bluegrass mon and didnt get a bite. was just glad to get out before it got cold again.

    Sounds like you did good. How did the new Humminbird work out? Sounds like it helped you locate some bass.

    My boat has a split in the weld and is leaking badly. I need to get a welder to fix it soon. Then I can get the boat out and do some fishing when the next warm spell comes.

    I woke up this morning dreaming about catching slab crappie at Patoka. LOL

    I know where the big one's hang out during the late March and early April prespawn times.

    Bluegrass was pretty hot on friday as well. We found a huge school of bass feeding on shad. We ended up with 10, a 20in 4.5lber being the biggest. Most were caught on a suspending jerkbait.
