Hello folks..
I am new to river fishing and have recently bought a kayak. I am actually more into the time on the river and just enjoying being outside. That said...I would also like to catch some fish. One of the things I don't know about is what rivers in Central Indiana (or within an hour or so of Indy) might hold some eyes. I am not looking for an exact spot...but what rivers and maybe a mile or so stretch would be nice.
What types of lures do you use in a river....are they any different than what you would use on a lake?
Really just trying to learn and reduce my overall curve a little. I have been told the Wabash and the Tippy are good rivers....but am I looking for something close to a confluence or near a lake....etc.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about walleye fishing at all so can't help you with the lures selection. As far as rivers that go into a lake near Indy, Brookville is the closest I can think of. The Whitewater river dumps into it and Brookville is considered to be the best walleye lake in the state. Whether they go up into the river or not? IDK.
