    Flooded tournaments

Why is it that all these local bass circuits are hell bent on fishing flooded muddy, debris ridden lakes. There is plenty of time to fish these lakes later in the spring, any thoughts???

Once the date is in it is tough to get a new one lined up.

Thats kinda like saying "lets have a tourney when they are bitting." If its unsafe, cancel it. But just because the water is high and muddy, let the boys figure it out. It truly lets the best win. JMO

I was at Rough this past weekend and other than it being high---it wasn't that terribly muddy and I hardly saw any debris. I don't see what the big deal is.

Nobody can control mother nature. And I like the challenge of trying to figure out where the fish are and how to catch them. I might not catch anything but it's fun being out their learning catching fish or not.

    Re: Flooded tournaments

Just like zx said, once the dates are set they are hard to change, and also guys set there vacation days to these dates, I fished Nolin this past weekend, water was high and stained, not a lot of debris floating, we had 10.55 lbs, caught several fish this past weekend had a great time won some money, it is fishing and mother nature sets the playing field, and these lakes in this area are flood control lakes so they gonna be high in the spring, thats the way they are designed and thats is there purpose. Makes it level for all.
