Pursuing the white bass yesterday put in at Bacon Creek. Parking lot was 7' underwater. Headed up river about 6 miles above Broad Ford. River still in the trees. Current was swift, at times it was almost 2 mph. Eddy holes were far and few. White bass were tight on the bank and far and few. Manage to find 3 fish. Talked to another boat fisherman who went down steam to Cub Run and he said he managed to find 4 whites back in the trees. Before the rains began I knocked them in the head so I think they started running or were beginning to. Just have more places to hide now. Water was 52 degrees and no doubt brown. Started to clear up some about 3 miles above Broad Ford. Getting your lure back in the trees was quite a challenge from a boat going downstream.

Tested out a few places on the CR yesterday and NO, NO, whites, at least none that wanted my offerings. Sorry to say, none of the trout either. (just FF with Nymphs and egg patterns in Hatchery Creek.) Maybe time to head to TN...?????
