    $60,000 unemployment money.....REALLY

So the NFL is in the middle of a lockout but the players will not suffer. These overpaid millionaires are eligible for $60,000 in unemployment money. Somehow the players have put back enough money into a "Lockout Fund" account that any player who was on each teams 53 man roster for the entire 34 week NFL season is eligible to receive $60,000 payable over 6 payments to help them with mortgages, car payments and such. These idiot owners and players of the NFL can't figure out how to split $9 BILLION in revenue. When is it ever going to stop? Way too much money in sports if the NFL Players Association can put back enough money into an account to pay this much out during the lockout. 53 man roster, lets say that there were 40 players on the roster the whole time, $2.4 million dollars per team, 32 teams, $65,280,000 dolllars set aside in a lockout fund, SIXTY FIVE MILLION TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. Unbelievable

I say cancel the NFL season for ever and have college football on saturday and sunday and televise highschool games friday night. Hell, cancel the NBA, NHL and MLB for all I care. College sports are more exciting to watch. IMO

Good Luck with that. The world would stop rotating on its axis if the NFL season was cancelled. Both sides will get an agreement by August. $9 Billion is a lot of spinnerbaits and no matter how it is split neither side will want to give up their share of the cash.

I hope they do cancel some games or the season. I'm tired of this crap. It's entertainment to me nothing more...I can find other stuff to waste my time on.

I don't care for the NFL, and I definitely think they all make a ton of money (of course that's all coming from the fans, so maybe their the ones with money to blow), but this doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. If it's coming from money that they were able to put back in case they needed it, then I call that smart planning. We could all learn from that.
