rough river

Heading to Rough tomorrow for a few days with my dad and 9 yr old. Anyone have lake temps and or advice? We'll be fishing for bass, crappie and hybrids. Are the bass and crappie shallow yet? Will post when we get back.

water yesterday was in the low 50s . slow bite

Said I post results. Took me awhile to get back to the computer. Went Sun, Mon and Tue. Caught a bunch of bass in the 11 to 14 inch range on Shad raps and brushhogs fishing shallow points half way back in the creeks near deep water.

Hooked into one of the biggest bass I have ever had on the line and lost it at the boat. Still hurts. Shad rap on a point in the creek.

Also caught some crappie on minnows in brush in 8 to 10 ft of water.

Caught stripers in the creeks on the shad raps as well had one that was 18 1/2 inches and I lost another one that was close to the same size.

All in all it was a good trip. I think we were about a week early. If I could of, I would have gone this weekend.
