Does anyone know if the white bass and hybrids have run or not up the upper end of Barren river and the creeks running into Barren, I went to Hollad bridge yesterday and no luck. My neice is on spring break this week and wants to catch a fish, have to bank fish, just wanting a report. Thanks

i don't know about barren but i fished up river at nolin a few weeks ago and caught my body weight in whites but i'd say the run is over at nolin by now.

Might try peter creek. I have caught them up there in years past when the water gets to moving good. Fair bank access at the WMA too.

don't know about barren, but, the cumberland river below the dam is starting to light up with them late in the evening. i caught 9 that were between 14 and 16 inches long and probably lost 10 more pitching white curl tail jigs from the bank.
