Never say never for it can get worse

Never say never boys and girls. My wife and I have cut back and back and back to try and keep paying on my medical bills that are a bit over $100,000. It seems like a fight that we can't win and certainly can't win under the recent events. My 22 yr old daughter and my 3 month old grandchild moved in with us 3 weeks ago. We got my daughter a job where she goes in at 5:30 every morning. So I am getting her up for work, cooking her breakfast and driving her to work. When I get back, I cook my son and wifes breakfast and help them off to school. I am playing grandad the rest of the day until I pick up my daughter at 2 and my son at 2:40. All this with a 3 month old that could go from a Minn Kota creeping thru the shallows as to not disturb the bedding fish to a 250 Yamahamma opened up to Full Tilt Boogie at the drop of a hat. Huge adjustment for all 5 of us. Here we were paycheck to paycheck paying what we could every month to try and do the honorable thing and stay out of bankruptcy but diapers, wipes and other baby stuff is not cheap. Throw in the fact that my daughter is making good on some mistakes she made over a year ago, so her entire check is going to the courts, which leaves us the financial responsibility for my daughter and granddaughter. Formula, diapers, wipes and such is not cheap. We are just trying to get to me daughters court date and hopefully will have enough between what she makes and we save to get it all paid off and her record will be cleared.

Don't get me wrong, I am VERY thankful that they are living with us. I can rest easy that the two of them are in my house and not sleeping on the floor of a crackhouse. I am at ease knowing that my daughter I'd getting to work on time and that every
Nickle she is making is going to the courts. I hope it will be enough or is at least close enough to where we will pay the rest to put this 16 months of bad decisions behind her and all of her efforts can be pointed towards the most important thing in her life, her daughter

Best of luck to you and all involved in this ordeal your going through Woody.

Remember if the People you owe refuse even a $5.00 a month payment from you as part of the amount you pay on the bill. Then they can just as well kiss the entire bill down the drain.

My parents went through the same thing on huge medical bills as well.

I was told the same thing but didn't know it was true. Your saying that this actually happened?? Just curious.
Dang woody I guess you have to just see the silver lining like your doing. Keep it up!

Anyone these days can find themselves in the same position that Woody is in if you have a big health issue. Cancer or heat disease can catch up with you at any time. I knew a young girl who got cancer at the age of 18 right out of high school and died of leukemia.

The huge cost of paying the doctors and the hospitals can add up to well over more than most insurance will pay. So any of us can become overburdened at times.

Thank god that Woody is cured and is still able to fish.

Hang in there Woody. Hopefully things will work out.

Woody you deserve a lot of credit for being a stand-up guy and doing what's right. A lot of people, faced with what you're up against, would have thrown in the towel long ago. Thanks for sharing your message, along with the encyclopedia's worth of information you've freely shared with the rest of us. I know at times you've been frustrated by the ingratitude of some other posters; I hope you realize most of us really do appreciate it. If there were an MVP Award for "Most Valuable Poster" you'd get my vote, hands down.
