Paintsville lake

I was thinking about going to paintsville lake to do some bass fishing next weekend and was wondering if the fishing there was any good. I have never been on the lake and I was wondering if it was worth an hour and a half drive to fish it?

Ive fished it but a few years back,pretty water but hard to catch a keeper on.
Trout can be caught in the tailwaters.
Coming from where wva,ky and ohio meet and living now in west tn ive fished most of ky lakes not one of my favorites.

Had a buddy weigh in almost 30 lbs in a fisher of men tourney last weekend. 18 was 2 i think.....then there was a major drop off

i live about 15 minutes from that lake,if i had30 minutes to fish it would be any where but paintsville lake looks, pretty water and trout p.bear had 30lbs but he just about lives on it,dont get me wrong he is pretty good.but as far as fishing it is a joke to many meat fisherman.
