been a long time since I fished Fort Knox yet Douglas lake was really putting out some good fish. guess it was the 90's last time i fished Douglas. Nice bass , big cats and strippers. Camp Carlson is good for trout.

So i've embarked on the fishing at ft knox and was wondering if anyone had any experience. I know the permit/hunting area rules, and I am a military member so getting on base and to areas is a cake. I found out that Knox has Ohio River frontage, and like 100 unmanaged ponds. Has anyone caught anything nice out of the ponds and lakes on base? How is the river frontage? Is there enough room to cast a line out? Does the base get fished a lot? I cant imagine it does.

Stripers huh? Sounds fun, the only other fishery that i know of without having to driver for many hours is taylorsville, and everyone knows how fished it is. Theres the Ohio also, but that wont be fishable until november.
Took the boy to crystal lake, which is the lake as you come up muldrah hill, caught 2 blue gills. The one he caught was large, at least a pound. I think I am going to like this Post fishing.
