I just watched Sunday Silence win the Derby on ESPN Classic with Jockey Pat Valenzuela aboard in 1989. 22 years ago and P - Val was on top of the world. One of the most talented jockeys on the track but has battled the demons of drugs off the track. Been suspended many times for drugs, arrested, jailed and all that goes with it. What a waste of a talent
