For those who do or like flipping/pitching, i have a question. On Barren river lake is the tree line is still in 15 ft of water. When flipping for the bass how do you present the lure so it will travel down through the tree limbs? for example if the limbs of the tree go down 10 ft and the bass are down 7 ft, how do you get the lure to them without it wanting to hang or overlap limbs that are 2-3 ft under the water? It seems as if i get hung up after the lure travels about 2-3 ft deep or the lure lands on the limbs and will not go down further. thanks
1oz or heavier tungsten weights, and use something with very few appendages sticking off it. no brush hogs or curly tail worms. Use a sweet beaver or tube. Had a buddy who did this at Kentucky last year. He was flippin willow bushes, and he said you had to put it in teh dead center of the bush and make sure it crashed straight down through.
