mostly bass fished sun, did try and go for some gills but no luck

Was there last week bass fishing but saw several people catching BIG redear from the bank at resort. Water was so high could fish anywhere. They were catching them on worms in grass around playground! Seen one redear that was huge,biggest ive ever seen

I fished Lake Barkley and I had no luck whatsoever. I fished the gravel beds I normally fished and didn't catch anything. I tried in the tall grass, short grass, base of trees and had no luck there either. Everywhere I went the water was the color of chocolate milk. I caught a few catfish and that's about it.
