    Cumberland

Anybody been out on Cumberland the last couple days? Just wondering what the lake is like and what the shad are doing?

Word has it the shad are almost non existent and the lake is FULL of trash everywhere. I think it's safe to say we can write off another Spring at the big C. Mother nature sure ain't being nice the last few years....

There are some being caught. Just because "I" can't catch any doesn't mean that there aren't some that can't be caught. My suggestion is just to go fishing, enjoy the outdoors, and enjoy the day. Really fishing conditions are the same for everyone and I for one won't let that stop me from going. If it's trashy (logs and trees floatin), I'm gonna use some common sense and not run on plane in these areas. But there are areas where one can run for long stretches without seeing any debree. Good luck and let us know.

    Later and good fishing,

P.S. Remember a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Enjoy and be careful!!

Don't know about Jamestown but I know the bay is full of trash. Halcombs depending on the day and wind may or may not be usuable due to garbage and debris. You have to ride down there and find out...

    Re: Cumberland

I fished yesterday out of burnside. Ran as far as fall creek . AND TRUST ME IT IS A MESS. due to the wind most ,of the trash is on the right side of the lake. but in any and all bends it is solid ALL the way across. When they pull it as hard as they are it pulls the debris out into the middle. Had to slow and idle thru 4 places. After I got to fall crek heading to ramseys point it was INPASSIBLE giant trees and logs .TONS of bottles, old docks, limbs and mats of dead grass floating that have died and floated to the top. Some major logs mixed in with the mats so YOU better idle thru them or have your life insurance paid up.
As for the fishing we did catch several fish most small buck bass with a couple really nice smallies. I haven't been below ramseys so I can't comment on that area

Three hours for me Bob. Sometimes you just gotta take a chance Bro. The other day was the first time I've ever seen Halcombs that socked in, I stood there and said a few choice words then scratched my head and backed up and punted.

The thing is with the wind it changes constantly right now.
