Then there's the guy with the sailboat!

It was crazy, runabout running up and down the lake making circles in the large part of the lake, I know the water patrol cannot be there every minute but I never see them. It would not surprise me to see a waverunner next.
Then there's the guy with the sailboat!
Well this was my first trip of the year to cedar creek and had a decent day. I did see the sailboat across from the ramp by the dam ( saiboat not a problem ). I also saw two people swimming out of a tracker boat. (problem) Another person in the boat was fishing. Now the last time I checked there were no sharks in cedar creek so I don't think he was using them for chum. I don't let the boat traffic or morons interfere with my fishing but I do ask myself " would you actually risk your life to save one of these idiots swimming in 55ft of water surrounded by trees?".
That moron was out there last summer, too. It is a i/o and it sounds like it has a chevy motor unmuffled. My thought is "Really? Cumberland and Herrington are too far, eh?" He gets pretty close to the other people fishing and doesn't seem to care one bit about anyone but himself. Jacka%$.
Have you wriiten down his boat number and reported it to Water Patrol?
I fished Cedar Creek once a couple years ago for the first and last time for me. All size fishing boats running wide open close to us, asked to leave certain spots because thats the spots they fished regulary, what a mess. You all can have it. KB1
They actually asked you to leave a certain spot? Not me. I hope you told them to come back later.
Cedar Creek isn't a lake its a zoo!
It's getting worse and worse, use to be my favorite but my tolerance has come way way down.
I actually found it comical last memorial day. All these fools with 20 foot bass boats thinking they are professionals. They'll come off plane 25 yards in front of you and act like you aren't even there. And they will just sit in that spot until you leave or move the other direction. It makes no sense to go there any time except during the week or when most of your weekend warriors won't go. That doesn't even include the boatless folks camped out on the old us 150 road spurs. I mean literally, in rvs and campers. There is so much garbage up in these areas. People have no respect for nature. They just leave their sh$# laying out there for someone else to clean up. Empty bait containers, water bottles, sandwich wrappers floating around. I doubt I will ever go back.
I fish Cedar a lot and everyone is correct. It's very crowded with a wide assortment of fishermen and non fishermen. If you really want some great fishing with some quiet time, fish it at night. There is still a few boats there but if you go at night during the week you'll find that's really the only way to fish this lake. That or wait til winter.
