Ray Lewis seems to think that if their is no NFL season the repercussion could be more crime in the streets.

Don't know if he was talking about the fans, players or,, himself.

I haven't missed a Bengals game (on tv or radio) in my life. It is just something that has stuck with me since I was a kid. If there is no season I will be ok and will not resort to stealing purses from old ladies to fill in that 3 hour time slot on Sundays in the fall.

Really? I saw a clip of the interview but not enough of it to know what he said. So....he is claiming what?? The fans will commit more crimes?? I'm confused???

He is a football player nothing more so what gives him all this wonderful insight? Maybe his criminal past?

I think he was talking about the fans, that will get frustrated with nothing to do. he may have also been talking about stadium workers who need the NFL to be playing in order to pay their bills.

Sporting events can trigger violoent crime, happens quite often actually. I guess we might have to see if a lack of sporting event triggers crime.

I am not sure I would bet on that. Might be just the opposite, husband is drunk and angry on a Sunday because there is no football, who knows.

One thing is for certain, sports has a dramatic affect on the behavior of people around the world. There is too much evidence to the contrary to dispute this.
