I am with the family at KY dam village now. 2 evening in a row now we have not had nearly as much luck as last year with the panfish. We fished the lbl side in a few bays. I have not seen any beds, even the empty ones yet. Is it the heat and high pressure or where I am fishing? Tips welcome.
The bass bite was really just good outside turtlebay at dusk on lizards. Mosquitoes ran us off.. Nothing big though.

Did you try gravel bars in 3 or 4 ft of water? Seems like they are always around the gravel bars.
If all else fails, crickets around the KDM docks are hard to beat. The stake beds in KDM are usually pretty good too, and all of the riprap. There's really no need to even leave KDM. Used to be a guy with a TINY little rig, not much bigger than a lawnchair really, who would put in at the ramp, and spend all day in there and take home a huge mess of bluegill each day. I was always in awe that he didn't turn that little rig over.
We just went through the dark moon phase so I would say it will be another week to 10 day's before they start spwaning again but you can still catch them bluegills like the same structure as bass and crappie. brush piles down trees and rocky banks. If you find small ones just go a little deeper till you find the big ones.
