There were 24 kayak anglers in this event this past Sunday. It was the longest of 3 species: black bass, catfish and striped bass. The winner of the grand prizes of the Native Manta Ray 11 fishing kayak and the 50 star American flag signed by Robert Heft and donated by Bill Johnson who is running for State of Secretary is John Waters from Lexington. John caught a total length of 52.25. Second place was Ben Adrien with a total of 2 fish with 46.75 and third was Jeremy meier with 2 fish totally 37.25. Both were from Nashville, TN. In the women's division was Pam Funk with one fish at 12.50. I want to congratulate Melinda Stein with a 16" Shad. Special award to the Shad Slayer! Hope Huffman, age 14 and Andrew Gray age 13 were great kayak anaglers!
