It can be good but usually its pretty slow fishing most of the time. The lake is one of the clearer lakes you will find and fish are very hard to catch at times. It has some big bass and panfish if you can catch them. The only thing it is reliable for is trout. You can catch trout in it night fishing in the summer and trolling at other times. It doesn't get too crowded unless there is a tournament but there always seems to be a few boats on it. In that area of the state where I grew up Yatesville is the place to be and Cave Run isn't far behind.

Greenhouse very clear. With all the rain this spring I hears there's been some decent fish caught. It used to hold the state record large mouth. Almost 9lbs. I was told taken on jitterbug at night. Good luck and I too might recommend yatesville. But if u don't want a crowd, go to greenhouse.
