I haven't followed the cat fishing issue very closely, I know they added some regulations this year but I agree that it wasn't enough.

My gut feeling is that noodling is hurting the population more than anything. I know it is already illegal but I think its still happening on a large scale.

Limits for not only large fish but overall bag limits would definitely help. With catfish being unique as they are I wish they would legalize them for more types of harvest but put restrictive bag limits on them no matter how they are caught.

I love to go gigging in the winter. It really ***** having to let flatheads and channel cats swim by. I think bow fishermen would probably like the opportunity to shot at them too when presented with the chance.
