I left my motor support attched to the motor and put my boat in when I put it in gear I thought the lower unit was going out. BUT after a moment it sounded fine . I pulled it out of the water and discoverded what I had done. It did a number on the lower unit . scratched it up BAD. Motor has less than 20 hours . Do I have to sand it all down to repaint it or just scuff it up and apply more primer and then the top coat. should I put clear coat on last.
