    UK vs UL football game

I know it's early but I can't stand it, I'm already getting jacked up. I'm a little worried about the offensive line for my Cards, young and non experienced they lost alot there. However that has been a pretty constant over the years for Louisville. I like Stein, the kid reminds me of Leflors bigtime, has ability, a great brain and the ticker of a Rhino. The backfield is talented, and the reciever core improved. Ky has lost more than Louisville in the high end talent department. Loosing Cobb and Locke is a HUGE void to fill. They to had a nice recruiting class though. But Cobb was EVERYTHING last year...

I say Louisville wins this one, it will be close but The Ville makes a couple of big plays late and gives the Cat fans the redass in Commonwealth, that's my story and I'm sticking to it..........

Stein is a good back up, but Bridgewater will start IMO. This kid is the real deal, strong arm and mobile. Most athletic quarterback to ever play at U of L. Wait till you see him in person Mark, he is a freak of nature.

The O-line is a concern, but while they only have one starter back, most of the guys saw time in the rotation last season. I am hoping for a healthy Vic Anderson at RB. If so, I like our chances.

Defensively, concerns in the secondary, especially since Darius Ashley cannot stay sober and not get behind the wheel. Everywhere else on the defensive side of the ball is solid and our D-line returns in tact. I look for huge things from Dexter Heyman this year.

I am not ready to proclaim victory over the Cats just yet. I think the Cards are more talented, but UK has the advantage in experience. We will have to see how they progress with the loss of Cobb. That being said, I look for things to get back to normal soon between the two. I miss the days of 4 in a row and 7 out of 8, with many being blowouts!

Strong said in an interview that Stein is the starting quarterback. Has he changed his mind, I heard the clip on Lachlean's show. I think his exact words were, Stein is way ahead of everybody else right now and it's his job and I think he will be fine.

Yes, Kentucky did lose way more talent than the Cards. Considering the talent that played in Louisville, that is not saying much. The Big Blue does have the Number 1 recruiting class in AMERICA again and the Freshmen will come up big just as they have the past couple of years. Lamb will pick up the scoring left behind by Knight, Jones will have another year of maturity under his belt, Miller should show more of a leadership role and the Freshmen will dominate as usual. As long as Cal has access to a checkbook the other team over in Louisville needs to get used to battling for second place in the state with that team over in Morehead, Murray or Richmond.

I am trying my best to get the hornets nest stirred up but did not get any takers from my IU comments so I will try to get a few from the other loyal followers. I don't care about college football, cancel the season because they all cheat, and get on with the roundball game where THEY ALL CHEAT EVEN MORE!!!!

Guess you don't want to cheer on the Cards then?

I spent a couple of hours Friday evening at Joe B. Hall's condo. It was just he and I sitting around talking fishing and hunting for a magazine article I am working on. He is an extremely nice man!
