Can anyone tell me what depth the thermcline is on nolin lake. Thanks
looks to be in the 15ft range, will differ from place to place on the lake.
reason I was asking is that the last time I was on rough I thought I was showing a thermocline on my graph at 15-19 feet. Im headed to nolin 2night and was curious to see what I found compared to what you guys told me. Thanks
Ronzo, I talked to a friend who fishes Nolin several times a week and he said it hadn't set up this year, due to rain and cooler night temps we were having a while back. I haven't talked to him in a couple of weeks so this could have changed since then.
Here's a link to the temps and oxygen levels from the corps site. Where the oxygen ends the thermocline ends.

according to the linders who used to publish the infisherman magazine,it would be the biggest temperature change as the depth increased ,which would be between 14 and 15 feet, perr the corps data above. the data from the corps is from the dam so it likely to change from one end of the lake to the other. the linders also said that bsaa need at least 4 parts per millon of oxygen to be healthy .iwouldnt expect to find many bass below 15 feet per the chart above unless there was underwater spring or something to oxygenate the water for them. the corps updates these charts a couple of times amonth
thanks for the replies
Could someone instruct me how to get that link (Oxygen level) for Lake Cumberland. I can't find it. Thanks
i think you have to look at the nashville district page to find it. Just google army corp of engineers nashvile district
I don't think an underwater spring would help that situation, according to Doug Hannon in one of his books about bass, the underwater springs don't bring in oxygen either, although they do bring in cooler water.
