What's been working on Herrington Lake?

I know that Herrington gets fished, a LOT. And I know that its not the best fishing waters in the area, especially considering I know there's a good lake 20 mins past Herrington (coming from Nicholasville) but I cant remember the name of it. Anyways, Herrington does have one thing going for it in my eyes, and that's location. I get off work at 6pm and those 20 mins I could save going to Herrington could make a fairly big difference with the days starting to shorten back up.

So, has anyone fished Herrington recently? What have you had luck using, if you've had any luck at all? Thanks!

This time of year is tough there but years past I had luck throwing sweet beavers around docks and 10 inch culprit worms tails dipped in red garlic dye around the drops. This was after dark for me.
