    RichY D's jumps

Fished upper Nolin this morning sportsmans area thinking water may be a tad bit cooler? It ain't. 89 to 91 degrees. Kept seeing swelling of water thinking it was shad schooling yet far off in the distance. Something was busting the top water. Eased over a little closer to get better look and it was water bugs with bluegill coming up to get a taste. Oh well did manage 4 dinky bass.

At least you caught some. Too bad it didn't work out like you wanted it to though. I am going to Taylorsville tonight for another one of those Friday night tournaments. I don't know why I go cause I hate night fishing.

Wait a minute now i catch my share of fish in the jumps at nolin !-----its all about being at the right place at the right time. I was getting dissapointed before the 4th of july because i couldnt find any jumps the 4th july morning while i was fishing just happened to be sitting right where they decided to chase the shad to the surface. Wow ! I put it in another gear and was tearing them up on a topwater. Caught 20 whtes and 5 l/m in a hour. What a ball ! Lol

Yeah no doubt man it can be a real hoot if your near them. Didn't go down there really looking for jumps and didn't see any other than the bluegill jumpin them bugs. Not quite as noisy as when bass are busting. Went down to practice my carolina fishing. Didn't see any schooling shad.

    First off....love the title!

Secondly...I have them trained to a dinner bell that only I possess.

Thirdly...The jumps have definitely, and I mean DEFINITELY slowed down! Took a buddy out there yesterday who drove down from Louisville, and the jumps were NON-EXISTENT! There were a very few scattered quick jumps, and we still managed some fish....but I fear that the big jumps are done! Water temps were around 91 degrees...which is nearly three degrees cooler than the last time I went out. Oh well, it was an amazing two months of Richy D's jumps! Of course, this is between the dam and State Park....I was wondering if they were jumping at the top of the lake?

well that's where I've been trying some 10 miles or so above Wax. Always fish there when lake is not at summer pool and figured I try it at summer pool. Been doing fairly well up there, now its 90dg there to. Guess it's time for me to start heading back to Conolaway area as i know that area better. Not much of a lake fisherman but I try. Just let us know when it's buzz bait time if your around.

I would love to be here to be able to post about the buzz bait bite...however, I should be long gone by then. I've got a couple weeks left in KY, then its off to the West!
