    Muddy water advice

Went out to the creek this evening to try and hook some more smallmouth. The water had risen tremendously and became very muddy from all the rain this morning. I threw a number of different lures in various locations (ripples, eddies, runs, slack water...etc.) and could only come up with 2 little rock bass. Does anyone have any suggestions for these types of conditions when targeting smallmouth? I know the fish are in there and they still gotta eat. I just couldn't figure them out tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i like to look for isolated structure where the current breaks. throw a brighter color bait!!!! bright orange and green craws and tubes. You have to throw a bait that the fish can see. creek fishing is very hard when the waters up and muddy. mostly the cause is clarity and sudden temp change. bright or all white rooster tails will never do u wrong!

Unfortunately time is limited so whenever I have the opportunity to fish I just have to roll with the punches and cast into whatever conditions are present at the moment.

I creek fish a lot, I think its too hard to catch in muddy conditions after it rains, I'd rather stay home and clean my reels and drink a beer than go knowing I'm not going to catch any good fish.
