going fishing tommorrow for crappie on upper end barren river lake just asking for some tips and colors

There pulling barren down hard right now and as far as i can tell it makes crappie a little tight mouth. Take all colors of jigs you can. I found the best thing to do is go to the walmart that is closest to the lake and see what crappie pan fish size bait is sold out and then find one that has those baits. It worked for me last year.. I think I may try some drifting in deep water and creek chanels about 15 to 20 foot deep and see if that works. let me know how you did..
