conditions on KY lake; crankbait rods

I am thinking about heading to Kentucky lake next week for some fun bass fishing just to get away for a few days and was wondering what the conditions were, if they had moved back in the pockets yet, and so on.

Then i am in desperate need of a new crankbait rod was hoping to stay under $90 but if it's a really good rod i don't mind going over on the price, was wondering if you had any suggestions.

    Thanks

KY Lake will be busy this weekend. Ted's tourney out of the Dam about 250 boats and the Everstart Series Championship out of Paris, TN, I think around 150 boats.

Fish are in the creeks and bays. Find schools of shad and you find bass. Enjoy

I fished from 10/22 through 10/25 broke an ejector on my Etec the 23 and did not get to fish I think this would have been best day to fish.

We caught fish every day but it was slow we had to grind them out. I fished Barkley one day and did not do much good then the next day fiashed it because of the wind did much better on Kentucky. We did catch some nice fish. caught one striper in Kentucky that went about five pounds and a large mouth that went over five and one that was around four.
