    Question Stren Fluorescent Fluorocarbon

I really like that this stuff is fluorescent but I was wonder, how does this line compare to other Fluoro's out there? Is it very manageable memory wise? Is it very abrasive resistant? etc etc. Any input would be helpful!

IMO it's one of the worst fluoros out there and I have used them all. I've used it the past 2.5 years for night fishing and I've probably gone through 4+ spools of the stuff. I still kept using it though because it's the only fluorocarbon that will glow in a black light. That line is a trade off between occasional breakoffs and sensitivity. It doesn't hold a candle to some of the other fluorocarbons (p-line, sunline, seaguar). If your fishing during the day I would try something else.

It bites!! Digs way too much on the least little snag or hook set.

That's exactly what I was hearing when it first came out. I didnt know if they had changed it in any way so I had to ask. Thanks for saving me the trouble guys!

Exactly what Waco said. I only use it for night fishing as well, and am scared to death while I'm using it. Great marketing pitch, but the stuff is absolute garbage for anything except night fishing. Save your $$$ and buy some other line that has proven itself.

As has already been said about the Stren...it kinda ***** as far as fluoro goes, but it's the only fluorescent fluoro on the market (for now). When I'm not night fishing, I'm a huge fan of Seaguar. I've used other brands of fluorocarbon, but I haven't been as happy with them. I just wish Seaguar offered a fluorescent for those of us who go slaunch huntin' after dark.
