Otter Creek this morning (10-29) and a double

Fished Otter Creek this morning from about 7:30 till 10:30 (had to get to the Louisville football game at noon).

Fished a #14 beadhead Prince Nymph about 18 inches below a size 12 Royal Wulff. Caught four rainbows and numerous baitfish and I think I may have caught a mooneye but not 100% sure on the ID.

Had something interesting happen, had a fish hit the dry fly, set the hook and brought in a creek chub on the dry and another creek chub on the nymph! My first double on a tandem fly rig...too bad it wasn't trout!

Usually 10-12 inches, but some bigger one's do slip in. Plus they stock Ft. Knox often and some of those fish wash down stream and you get holdover fish from other months. I caught a 16 /4 inch rainbow down there in June. Biggest one I ever caught or even seen from there.

WTG Tim! Sounds like a nice day on the water....you made me think back to if I have ever caught two at once on a dry/dropper....and I don't think I ever have. That would really be fun, and like you said, even funner with two trout! I know catching those double LMs at Nolin in the jumps on the ol Donkey rig was quite the experience...especially when they both were 3+ pounds! haha! Fun stuff....Take care.
