This is funny. About 3 weeks ago on a weekend i had a campout with my friends. We where catfishing all night then decided to go in the tent to sleep, we got in the tent and we forgot we left a fishing pole out there on the bank casted out with bait on it. So we unzip the tent go down to the bank and it was gone. My friend was so mad because it was his dads pole. So today we are fishing out on the pond that we lost the pole in and we were out on a john boat just me and him. He was throwing a rattle trap and got hung on the line and we started pulling it in and there was his pole. Then there was some fish on the other end then it threw the bait. But we didnt care we just could not beleived what just happened. He was sooooo happy. Hahahaha

fishing with a buddy he was using a brand new G Loomis with a high dollar shimano baitcaster. He threw that thing out and it slipped right out of his hand in 70' of water next to the dam. I got a fix on the splash, we were throwing silver buddies i threw way past the splash and let it sink pulling off line as it fell. after hitting the bottom I literally finessed it back and as he was telling me his girlfriend had bought that for him and he was gonna have to buy another outfit so she would not find out I felt a little heavy feeling and slowly reeled it up . I asked him what he would give for the rod just as the tip broke the surface. Man was he a happy camper. In retrospect I should have went home and bought a lottery ticket
I have retrieved and have had rods retrieved for me after losing them over the side. Several have been GLoomis and so far all have been retrieved by casting out and snagging either the rod tip or line. I mean what are the chances of actuallly hooking the rod tip?? Twice!!!! Saved me lots of money!!!
