Yep I watched this. This is an example of what all that gangsta, hoodlum, thug, wanna be cool criminal stuff gets you. They should kick a few of these fools off the team and even out of school. It is aweful to see and like the coach said there are many kids wanting to play who would consider it a privilege to put any uniform on.
I cannot believe the crap those two idiots had the nuts to say after that brawl. Those two should be suspended.
What an example to set huh?? You can bet there will be more to come on this next week and rightfully so. Actually the guy who sucker punched the big white kid should be banned. He kept punching others and his foot stomping buddy should be banned as well. Criminal charges would be justified in my book.

Legarrate Blount of Oregon was banned the rest of the season for throwing a punch a Boise St player a couple years ago

If that's the precedent that has been set, then most of the guys on the floor for that game should be treated the same....Most of the guys out there threw punches, and landed or not, should be viewed the same....Let them be reinstated next year

After the fight, I liked what the coach said. He will whip them into shape and learn to have respect. These punk kids need a positive male role model to teach them what is appropriate behaviour and what isnt.

man what a black eye for Cincy and the Big East.....I also heard Cronin say that he actually forceably removed the jersey from several of his player's bodies and asked all the others to remove them...I hope he gets that program back on track....

My opinion on this subject is...that bit of ridiculous behavior is..well...ridiculous. In fact the entire sports thing and it's fans is ridiculous too (in MY opinion). All those young guys (late teens/early 20's) with their arms all inked up like they've paid their due's in life or something...it's all a joke to me, a very poor display of United States citizenship.

Suspension you say? Adult male role models you say? Heck...these are young men who have gotten FAR in life already, MUCH farther than the majority of their peers and they act like this? Sorry...I ain't buying it...with the amount of blood shed during this game and considering how they coudn't play 40 minutes of basketball without a battle of fists? I say kick them off the team and let them re-think what they're goals in LIFE really are.

The fans, the media, all the hype associated with the game doesn't do a thing to help matters either.

.02 worth...then again...take what I wrote with a grain of salt cause I could care less about who wins or plays or anything else in regards to ball sports. But I do know stupidity when I see it.

I hear ya, and the two thugs from Xavier who did the post game interview, they'd be kicked to the curb as well.... No room in college basketball for punks like these two teams presented in that game....

I hope Cronin doesn't lose his job over the incident, but man I'd sure like to be a mouse in the corner of Cincy's locker room when Cronin walked in after the whole ordeal.

I really think some police charges are gonna be handed down to some of those player's, especially the one who sucker punched Friese (not sure that's how you spell his name) and number 13 for the kick to his head as well.....

I think Yancy Gates is history and kicked off the team for good, not to mention kicked out of school over his actions.
