Gas Prices jump up to over $3.50/gallon

They can't justify to me this sudden rise in price. And watch them raise the price even more this spring and summer.

I'm tired of being at the mercy of OPEC. I wonder if many more people will take a harder look at the hybrids and other electric cars this year?

We're at the mercy of our speculators not OPEC. Tensions are really building in Iran. They just shut off exports to France and GB.

Just spent the weekend in the Indianapolis area and gas ran from $3.15 to about $3.29. Looks like we're getting gouged again in the Louisville area.

Re: Gas Prices jump up to over $3.50/gallon

I wonder why Louisville normally sells gas 20-25 cents more than other cities in our region?? Everytime I travel to Panama City the gas is around 25cents cheaper per gallon in Nashville, Birmingham and Montogomery...sometimes it's as much as 30-40cents cheaper too.

As mentioned above, speculators tend to drive it sky high because of the panic and chaos created. Gas at 5 bucks a gallon will take it's toll on the middle class, especially the working middle class like myself.

I simply don't see how the millions of people who actually work for 8-10 bucks an hour make it. We've got a growing divide in this country between the have's and have nots.

The speculators know OPEC will increase the price of oil because we have no drilling in the gulf or in the USA and we stopped the pipe line from Canada. They read the tree leaves and make a profit from our stupidity.

The pipeline from Canada was a loss of jobs only. That was all for export. We export more than we use. Canada didn't care...they'll sell to Asia if we don't buy.
