    pan fish jig color

    Have tied up several pan fish jigs, popeye and maribou this winter tied all kinds of colors and combination, would love to here your favorite color scheme for pan fish.

    It depends on where you are fishing and the water color. If the water is lightly stained, and I was on Cumberland I would fish with a Bobby Garland in the monkey milk or chartruse. If I was on Green I would fish with the colors bubble gum or orange tipped with a minnow.

    For crappie i like:
    Red back and pearl belly color - tinsel flash.
    Red back and silver belly color - tinsel flash.
    Blue back and pearl belly color - tinsel flash.
    Black back and chertreuse belly color - tinsel flash.
    Olive drab back and Red belly color - marabou.
    Olive drab back and Powder Blue belly color - marabou.
    Black back and chertreuse belly color - marabou.

    Shell Cracker i like:
    Bronze back and gold belly color - tinsel flash.
    Bronze back and blue belly color - tinsel Flash.
