    Trolling motors length

I have a 18 foot Targa bass tracker boat. Does anyone know if a 45 inch shaft trolling motor will work on this boat? I hate the one I have on there now and would like to install one with a gator mount.

    Re: Trolling motors length

I would think that a 45 would be too short for that boat if I am thinking about the right boat. The targa is the deep model of boats correct? I just put a new Terrova on my Bass Tracker 190, it had a 45 on it and if you were in the back of the boat and got any wave action it didnt work well. I wanted to get a 54, however to get it with the I pilot installed I had to get a 60. A 54 would have been perfect for me. I would think at least a 54 if not a 60 on your boat.
