Hit Stein lake again this morning at first light. From my car I could see the V's shooting through the water, into the banks, bursting into a cloud of panicking bait fish. It looked like fireworks going off in the lake. I started out throwing a chrome/green back lipless crank and hooked into 7 within the first hour. The largest was 2 lbs. After the sun peaked over the trees and onto the water the bite slowed down tremendously. Tried a Senko worm rigged wacky style and then Texas style in deeper water with not even a nibble. Switched up to a green pumpkin tube and walked the bank pitching at any rock piles i could see. Only had 1 taker that was 1 1/2 lbs. I switched to a craw colored shallow running crankbait and found 2 more dinks hiding in some standing timber. Didn't get anything of any braggable size today but it was still a fun morning.
Side notes:
-During low light all fish were caught anywhere along the banks. Once the sun came out they stayed very close to structure.
-Still have yet to see any fish of any size guarding nests
