This pond is on Southland's property. I've talked with a few church memebers who have fished it. It doesn't sound like it's all that great for fishing.
I know A LOT of people have been baptized in that pond over the years.

Anyone know anything about the pond close to Southland Christian Church on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington? Does the church own it? Is it public accessible? Does it even hold fish?

I saw a guy fishing the one out by US68 several times last year on my way to work, but that one is tiny and can't be more than a few feet deep.
I think they have a larger pond farther back on the property, but I am guessing it's not accessible to the public. I really do not know, though. I go to church there and haven't heard anything about it.
Thanks for the replies so far, guys. I'm just looking for somewhere different to let the kids throw a line. The little bluegills just ain't cutting it for my son and i want to keep him interested.

Of your asking about the one out front, I think it's strictly for runoff. I've seen it dry in the summer.
Looking at the Google map, it's quite large and to the south of the church, near to a parking area it seems.
