    Wood Creek info

I've got a tournament the 31st at Wood creek. but I can't find any info on water conditions. Clear, muddy, is it up or at pool, temprature and so forth. Did pretty good there last year hoping to do the same this year. If anyone could help me out Thanks!!

I live on the lake so hopefully I'll be able to help you out. The lake is up right now. "Up" being a relative term, because the lake pool never fluctuates more than a couple feet. Right now it is maybe a foot above average pool. The portion of the lake from the boat ramp up to the dam is always very clear. A tornado passed over this section of the lake three weeks ago and there is still a large amount of storm debris floating in the water. (Branches, garbage, wall studs, siding, etc.) The two main creeks that feed the lake usually have more of a stained quality to them but not anything I would call muddy. Surface temps in the two main creek arms last night were approaching 70 degrees and I would imagine the surface temps in the deeper sections of the lake would be a few degrees cooler. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Looks like there is a cold front moving through this week with some rain. Which will muddy up the creeks and drop the water temp too. Guess a float n fly, jigs and jerkbaits or rattle traps for the weekend. And better pack the cold weather gear too. And I get to see Uk beat the snot out of Louisville!!!!!!

The daytime temps will still be in the 70's this week but the nighttime temps are gonna be in upper 30's/ lower 40's. I'd say that by this weekend you're gonna be looking at surface temps around 61-62 degrees. Even with the rain the majority of the lake will be very clear. Those two main creeks that I mentioned will muddy up some but thats about it.

    Re: Wood Creek info

Thanks once again. We will be down there friday morning to look around and do some prefishing. The tournament starts saturday morning and ends sunday afternoon. Our plans are to stay down near the dam where we had caught some nice fish last year. And go up in the creeks past the dam to see how the fish are doing. We didn't have much luck up in the creeks past the ramp cause it was muddy last time. Seems like it's going to be the same this year.
